It’s a known but mostly overlooked aspect that, economic empowerment of women needs to acknowledge and address specific context and requirements at family and society level. At SRREOSHI, we strongly believe that a ‘Straight jacket for all’ approach can never be an option, especially when the focus is on women and girls’ empowerment. Our interventions always identify and innovate ways to address specific concerns to ensure financial inclusion and reduction of violence against women.
SRREOSHI has experiences of individually implementing or spearheading the ‘sustainable livelihoods for women’ component of projects across the states of India, with primary focus on West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam and Odisha.
Our dedicated attention towards identifying the most critical needs through Action Research and coordination with all stakeholders enhances effectiveness of our intervention. We are privileged to have a team of advisors with diversified areas of expertise.
Promotion of sustainable and responsible practices across the entire production cycle is a key focus of all our livelihoods intervention.
Connecting women and girls with available services from the government or other sources by making them aware about various social protection projects is an integral part. It helps the community to continue with improved livelihoods practices.
Helping women in establishing linkage with ‘Market’ is another critical aspect that we always address through all our interventions.
We have milestone achievements in developing and delivering small but impactful projects around Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) through improved and sustainable livelihoods projects.
